Microsoft integrates ChatGPT into the Bing search engine and Edge

We have discussed how popular ChatGPT is before. When technology giants are investing a lot of resources to develop their own AI, Microsoft announced that it will cooperate with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT into its Bing search engine and Edge browser. Microsoft has always hoped to win users back from Google. Now that ChatGPT has been added to the lineup, can Microsoft win back the usage?

ChatGPT is developed by OpenAI, and even the world-renowned multi-billionaire, Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla, is also one of OpenAI’s investors. Microsoft has also invested $10 billion in OpenAI to expand its AI services.

With ChatGPT as a major update of the Bing search engine and Edge browser, this time it will first launch a service that allows users to enter questions within 1,000 characters to chat with ChatGPT, and handle their complex questions and searches.

New Bing and Edge

With the new Bing search engine and Edge browser integrated update, web users are able to do things like summarize search results with AI’s help and converse with AI chatbots to get their questions answered, and even compare results among others. Similar to the updates coming to Bing, an AI chatbot is available in a sidebar in Edge and includes two functionalities at launch: chat and compose. Microsoft is looking forward to bringing better search, complete answers, a new chat experience, and a creative spark and inspiration to users.
